The Bean & Grove Difference
Frequently asked questions
Do you offer bespoke commissions?
Yes. We work with homeowners, interior designers and commercial clients to create bespoke textured artworks, moss installations and acoustic feature panels tailored to your space.
Whether you’re looking for a specific size, colour palette or design concept, we’ll work with you to create a piece that complements your interior.
Can I choose the size and colour of my artwork?
Absolutely. Most of our bespoke commissions can be customised to suit your space, including dimensions, colour palette, materials and overall composition.
If you’re unsure what would work best, we’re happy to provide guidance during the consultation process.
What deposit is required for Bespoke Commissions?
Projects under £1,000
- 50% deposit upfront
- 50% before dispatch
Projects over £1,000
- 50% deposit upfront
- Progress approval if applicable
- Balance before delivery/installation
Deposits are non-refundable once materials have been purchased and production has commenced.
Can I view your work in person?
As our pieces are primarily created to order, we do not currently operate a public showroom.
You can view examples of our work through our website and Instagram, and we’re happy to discuss specific requirements before commencing a commission.
Do you offer installation?
Installation may be available depending on the size and location of the project.
For larger artworks and bespoke commissions we can discuss delivery and installation options as part of your quotation.
Can you create artwork for commercial spaces?
Yes. We regularly work with interior designers, offices, hospitality venues and commercial clients to create bespoke installations for professional environments.
Please contact us to discuss your project requirements.
Do your acoustic panels actually reduce noise?
Our acoustic feature panels are designed to help reduce echo and reverberation within a space, creating a calmer and more comfortable environment.
The level of acoustic improvement will depend on the size of the installation and the characteristics of the room.
Is the moss real?
Yes. We use genuine preserved moss that has been specially treated to maintain its appearance without the need for water, soil or sunlight.
This allows you to enjoy the beauty of natural moss while requiring virtually no maintenance.
To maximise longevity, we recommend keeping moss artwork away from prolonged direct sunlight and areas of excessive humidity.
What is the return policy?
Ready-Made Pieces
Ready-made artworks may be returned within 14 days of delivery, provided they are returned in their original condition and packaging.
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the artwork arrives damaged or incorrect.
Due to the size and specialist nature of our artworks, original packaging should be retained until you are satisfied with your purchase.
Please inspect your order upon delivery and notify us within 48 hours if any damage has occurred during transit.
Bespoke Commissions
Bespoke and commissioned artworks are created specifically to a client’s requirements and are therefore non-returnable and non-refundable once production has commenced.
When will I get my order?
As every Bean & Grove piece is handcrafted, delivery times vary depending on the product.
- Ready-made artwork: dispatched within 3–5 working days
- Bespoke commissions: typically 4–8 weeks
- Custom moss installations and acoustic panels: typically 4–10 weeks
We will always provide an estimated completion date before work begins, and you’ll receive updates throughout the process.
Where are your products manufactured?
Every Bean & Grove piece is handcrafted in Northumberland, UK.
We design and create all of our textured artworks, moss installations and acoustic panels locally, ensuring each piece receives the attention to detail and craftsmanship that defines our work.
No mass production. No imported finished products. Just thoughtfully made pieces created to enhance contemporary interiors.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping for ready-made artwork is calculated at checkout.
For bespoke commissions, moss installations and acoustic feature panels, delivery costs are quoted individually based on the size of the artwork, location and any installation requirements.
If you’re considering a custom piece, we’ll provide a full delivery estimate as part of your quotation.
